What should I see before the download starts?
 |
You may have to wait
for a while before this button appears on the left of the download
screen |
During Web installation, I receive the following error message:
"The run-time reference file needed to conduct this installation does not exist
or contains invalid information".
The download uses InstallShield as part of the download.
It usually helps to get it directly from Installshield. It is free.
Then try the iBingo download again.
Most other download/install failures are due to interrupted connections or file corruption upon download, and can be fixed if you just uninstall and try again.
If you keep trying the download and it continues to fail at the same place, it is probably because of corrupted files left on your hard drive.
If InstallShield failed on an earlier attempt, it may have left some files
behind that is preventing it from completing a new attempt to install.
Look in \Windows\Temp for two folders that look like those below. The one with the mix of letters and characters will be different on your drive but will have a similar format.
b5cff6c04597x4564x,
Setup
Delete both of these folders, restart your computer and then try the download again.
If the install is successful (and you've accepted the defaults), start the game by following these steps: Click on the Windows Start button
Click on the Programs menu
Click on the iBingo menu
Click on the bingo icon
If for some reason the automated install doesn't work, you can try the "Alternative download"
Why does it take so long downloading and then keep quitting before it's finished?
This happens when the connection between your PC and our server is not a good
one or it can
mean that our server is over-loaded. In most cases it will be a connectivity problem and can
sometimes be improved by choosing an off-peak time of day, depending on where you are in
the world.
Note: that if you choose the
Recommended download option, the download will start at where the connection
was lost not at the beginning again.
I didn't choose the recommended downloaded and now I don't know where it is.
- Click on the Windows Start button
- Click on Find
- Click on Files or Folders
- Type iBingo3.4F.exe in the text box labeled "Named"
- Make sure the "Look in" text box has (C:) displayed
- Click on Find Now
Why can't I click on the Set-up button on the Install Shield?
At first you may find the Set-up button is deactivated (light gray)
That is because the set-up has to get ready and it can take a few minutes. If it is
taking a long time, that is because you have too many applications open. Cancel the
install and close everything.
Install constantly sticks in one spot?
You only need to download the installshield once. It is then resident on
your drive and available for any software that uses it for downloading - it
is a commonly used product.
Uninstall iBingo if it is listed in your programs.
You should do so using the Windows uninstall process.
- Click on Windows Start
- Click on Settings
- Click on Control Panel
- Click on the Add/Remove Programs icon
- Locate iBingo
- Click on Add/remove
- Click on Ok

Delete all of the folders with the random names like the one shown above, as well as the Setup folder and then try the download again.
I installed it but where is it?
